Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) seeks to fill a Software Engineer (level 2) or a Principal Software Engineer (level 3), supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This position is located in Aurora, CO. About our organization: As a Software Engineer, you'll be joining our growing Aurora Software and Digital Engineering department which has 200+ Software Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Systems Administrator, Database Administrator, and Network Engineer peers from entry-level to the most senior chief engineers and architects. Principal Software Engineers frequently get into informal (example: Subject Matter Expert) and formal technical leadership roles within their programs, as applicable and per interest.  We have plenty of opportunities for career advancement into higher level technical roles or leadership positions. Our Software Department is part of a larger organization that includes Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test staff as well as a Hardware Engineering unit. This larger organization influences cross-program collaboration, professional development and training, as well as engagement and inclusion activities such as lunch-n-learns, campus events, and leadership mixers. Travel is required at a minimum of 10%. Basic Qualifications: Engineer Level 2: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 2+ years of relative experience; master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 0+ years of relative experience; An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree. Principal Level 3: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of relative experience; master’s degree in a STEM discipline with 3+ years of relative experience; An additional 4 years of experience can be considered in lieu of degree. Active Top Secret security clearance/SCI eligibility required at time of application Experience as front-end developer. Experience with software design and have user interface experience. Experienced with software design. Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, microservices architecture and object-oriented designs.  Candidates should have prior experience with Vue.  Preferred Qualifications: Experience with keycloak, VueJS framework, Front End GUI design and implementation would be preferred. Previous scrum master experience utilizing agile methodologies. Security+ certification Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00 Secondary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
