BeOne is seeking a technically strong and solution-oriented Senior Manager, Direct Tax, based in Poland, to lead direct tax compliance, tax accounting, and cross-border coordination across the company’s growing footprint. This role is integral to BeOne’s centralized tax operations and supports tax reporting for both statutory and US GAAP purposes. As BeOne expands into new markets and enhances its systems environment, you will also contribute to the design and implementation of tax processes and technologies beyond SAP.    This position will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day direct tax compliance function and its transformation to automation, partnering with IT, Finance and other business teams in the areas of direct taxes. It will work closely with the business, providing direct tax compliance and setting the direct tax strategy. It will report to the Global Senior Tax Director, who is based in Switzerland. This role has a hybrid working pattern 3 days per week from our Warsaw office and 2 days per week remote. Responsibilities •    Corporate Income Tax Compliance & Advisory o    Coordinate direct tax compliance across assigned jurisdictions, managing internal data readiness and oversight of external advisors. o    Collect, validate, and reconcile tax-relevant data for income tax returns prepared externally; lead internal review, approval, and payment coordination. o    Ensure completeness of supporting documentation, e.g. interest limitation calculations, and reconciliations. o    Provide advisory input on local and cross-border tax matters.  o    Contribute to future-oriented initiatives such as OECD Pillar 2 •    Tax Accounting & Financial Reporting o    Prepare and review US GAAP tax provisions, including current and deferred tax calculations and account reconciliations. o    Contribute tax disclosures for local GAAP statutory financial statements, in collaboration with BeOne’s accounting team. o    Align tax reporting with consolidated group requirements through close coordination with Global tax team. •    Withholding Tax & Indirect Tax Collaboration o    Oversee withholding tax compliance, treaty applications, and payment reporting for intercompany and third-party flows. o    Collaborate with indirect tax specialists (without direct VAT ownership) to ensure full visibility across all tax channels and shared data requirements. •    Technology & Process Improvement o    Serve as a regional tax representative in finance systems projects including SAP S/4HANA and additional tax tool implementations for compliance, workflow automation, or market-specific needs. •    Team Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support o    Mentor junior staff or support shared service colleagues involved in tax process execution. o    Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Treasury, FP&A, HR, and IT to assess the tax implications of transactions, new market entry, and operational changes. Required Experience •    7+ years’ direct tax compliance & advisory experience, gained either in-house or in big 4 firm.  •    Accounting, law or tax degree preferred. •    SAP Knowledge is required. •    Experience in a complex, international environment with cross border direct tax exposure and tax provisioning under US GAAP and operational aspects of transfer pricing.   •    Experience working in shared service center models and managing cross-border service provider relationships. •    Strong organizational and communication skills, results-oriented, decision maker & self-motivated individual. .    Languages: English required. Other European languages - a plus. Preferred: •    Advanced qualification (e.g., CPA, CTA, Polish Tax Advisor, Swiss Tax Expert). •    Familiarity with Power BI or other tax tech and analytics tools.
