Prepare samples and reagents for testing. Conduct analysis of these samples using analytical equipment including Spectrophotometers, pH meters, Melt Flow Indexers and other instruments. Record and report test results accurately. Ensure all laboratory equipment has up-to-date calibration and is maintained correctly. Collaborate with other departments to provide technical support and analytical guidance Manage sample tracking Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards (ISO 17025) Assist with innovations / projects and building business cases to support. Other ad-hoc duties as requested by the Management team What we're looking for; Relevant science qualification (Chemistry, Biology or equivalent) with BTEC/HND/Degree preferred Experience working in a laboratory environment, ideally in plastic analysis. Understanding of laboratory safety procedures and COSHH regulations. Experience capturing, handling and reporting data from laboratory equipment. Meticulous Attention to Detail  Proficiency with IT systems including Microsoft Office. IOSH or NEBOSH health and safety certification (Desirable) Experience working to Food Management (HACCP) and ISO 17025 Standards (Desirable) What’s next?
