Job Description: HPE’s Campus & Branch (C&B) Networking Business Unit is seeking a full-time Principal Program Manager to join our talented team that builds high quality technology solutions that revolutionize wireless and wired networks, powered by Artificial Intelligence in the cloud. C&B provides services through SaaS applications to several Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 customers. You'll manage SaaS operations projects from concept through to launch, especially in Federal environment, You will be responsible to improve performance and cloud availability for customers. You will also manage the progress of critical engineering deliverables. You will collaborate with developers, SREs, and product management team, on a day-to-day basis. You will also work with other organizations, like IT, vendors, and other business units within HPE to manage cloud operations related activities. The improvements you implement will be felt by the entire organization. This role requires deep knowledge of program/project management and knowledge of AWS/GCP cloud environments. Primary Accountabilities: Develop project plans for C&B engineering cloud operations, compliance, and key engineering projects, especially in Federal environment Manage programs for product development. Establish tracking mechanisms to measure and track these objectives Identify key stakeholders, their roles on the project and their upstream and downstream system dependencies Manage regular stand-up meetings Manage project execution to adhere to the project budget, scope and schedule Report statuses, progress, risks, and deviations to the executive leadership and key stakeholders Identify, track, and ensure resolution of issues and removal of barriers Qualifications/Requirements: 12+ years of experience working in Program/Project Management in a software engineering organization Must have technical understanding of SaaS operations and basic cloud security Must have experience managing large scale programs and manage multiple priorities Be a self-starter who welcomes responsibility, along with the ability to thrive in an evolving organization and an ability to bring structure to unstructured situations Must have an understanding of legal risk and compliance Ability to partner with a multi-tiered and matrixed organization model to deliver complex programs. Task oriented, able to plan, track, lead and execute project deliverables in an Agile organization Strong communication skills/able to persuade/influence others at all organization levels Foster lasting relationships across varying organizational levels and business segments with the maturity to interface with all levels of management Excellent written & verbal communication skills Exposure to big data technologies and managing projects with distributed systems technologies is a plus Special Skills – Desired: Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and/or Google Cloud Software development life cycle (SDLC) experience Knowledge of networking domain Agile Scrum experience Understanding of cloud security and operations Automation experience Required field of study Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems (or similar) Location This position is based in Cupertino, CA Citizenship Requirement Applicants need to be US Citizens.
