Veolia is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to support the operation, maintenance, and optimisation of critical building services and utilities at the Airbus Newport facility. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of mechanical systems, heating and water systems, supporting Airbus's aerospace manufacturing operations.   What we can offer you: 25 days of annual leave  Refer an Engineer to us once you’ve joined and earn £1000 Access to our people’s pension scheme Free physiotherapy service  Discounts on everything from groceries to well known retailers Access to a range of resources to support your physical, mental and financial health; so you can lean on us whenever you need to Ongoing training and development opportunities, allowing you to reach your full potential    What you'll be doing: Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot on commercial gas boilers Manage and maintain Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) heating systems across the site Assist with maintaining and optimising HVAC systems to ensure comfortable and compliant working environments Respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts to minimise downtime Attend to reactive jobs that cover a wide range fabric related issues Work alongside engineers on site covering all skillsets Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health, safety, and environmental standards Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and compliance documentation Support energy efficiency initiatives and identify opportunities for system improvements Liaise with Airbus stakeholders and Veolia management teams   What we're looking for: Qualified Gas engineer Relevant mechanical engineering qualification (Gas safe,L8) Strong knowledge of Low Temperature Hot Water (LTHW) systems Understanding of HVAC systems including AHUs and controls Ability to pass SC (Security Check) clearance What’s next?
