Summary Performs electrical or mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical equipment used in the manufacturing process. Dismantles, adjusts, repairs and assembles equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, operating or repair manuals, rough sketches or drawings. Uses test and diagnostic equipment to perform checkouts. Rebuilds manufacturing equipment as required. May perform equipment modifications as directed by manufacturing engineers. Job Description JD for Equipment Maintenance Technician Responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and safety of our operations and Equipments. Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, such as fixing electrical, electronics, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems’ Board level troubleshooting Components checking and repairing. Assist in the setup and installation of new systems and equipment, as well as conduct preventive maintenance and inspections. Perform manual repairs when necessary – Include wiring, crimpings, soldering,etc Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed. Assist in maintaining the tracker of calibration. Perform troubleshooting of the Equipment in electrical circuits, electronics, Vacuum, heat treatments, High Voltages, Knowledge on troubleshooting on electrical circuits, electronics, Vaccum,Heat treatment, High Voltage, welding, Gas lines, etc Knowledge on calibration of instruments and assist in performing Calibration activities for equipment Prepare and maintain spare part list Equipment wise and maintain the stock up to date. Follow Quality standards for Preventive Maintenance, Breakdowns – MTBF, MTTR,Etc Assist in marking layouts and providing suggestions and best practices according to industry standards. Maintenance Technician Requirements and Skills: Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role Basic understanding of electrical, Electronics, Vacuum, Heat treatment, High Voltage Applications, Measuring Instruments and Calibrations, Gas lines, hydraulic, and other systems   Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices Problem-solving skills Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATIONS Minimum Required Skills and Knowledge Strong teaming skills. Basic understanding of material logistics. Basic understanding of several business systems/concepts such as Demand Flow, Statistical Process Control, Process Documentation, Empowerment, Six Sigma methods, Quality and/or Cost Improvement. Other Desired Skills and Knowledge None required Required Certifications and Training Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility. Experience Level with Business Tools Familiar with business tools such as:  E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired. LEVEL DESCRIPTION Skill Applies acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Job Complexity Works on assignments that are semi-routine in nature but recognizes the need for occasional deviation from accepted practice. Supervision Normally follows established procedures on routine work, requires instruction only on new assignments.
