Responsibilities:   Perform instructions outlined in the Production Manuals for Production Assistants Operate pallet jacks and fork trucks Assist operators as needed to minimize downtime during cleanups and maintenance Weigh and package rolls according to specifications and instructions provided on work order paperwork Thread Line Use and complete paperwork Understand and follow quality specifications Do Q.A. clean-up Perform housekeeping duties on and around the line Maintain neat and clear aisles for product transfer and safety Adherence to company policies and procedures Safety Commitment: Takes reasonable care for their own health and safety Takes reasonable care for the health and safety of others Authorized to stop work when a perceived unsafe condition or behavior may result in an unwanted event Understands and actively participates in the company’s EHS policy, goals, and objectives Requirements:   Must know how to read and use a tape measure and weigh scale Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs., if over 50 lbs. requires a team lift or mechanical aid such as a roll lift or forklift Must be able to stand for 12 hours Must be able to work rotating 12 hour shift including holidays and weekends Must be able to bend, twist, and rotate body at all times Able to work in a fast paced environment Physical Requirements:   The employee in this job is required to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally (less than 1/3 of time); and up to 35 pounds of force frequently (more than 1/3 of the total time);  if over 50 lbs, requires a team lift or mechanical aid such as a roll lift or forklift.
