Job Description: Are you ready to step into a broad and exciting role responsible for leading the Finance function at Syntese A/S, a manufacturing site within the Ferring Group ? Do you bring the needed experience and expertise to manage site controlling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting into the Group Finance function, as well as ensuring compliance with Danish legal, tax, and audit requirements for the local legal entity? You will become part of the Site Leadership Team (SLT). playing a key strategic and operational role in supporting decision-making, performance management, and continuous improvement across financial and operational processes: Ferring + you Syntese is a part of the Ferring Pharmaceuticals global matrix. We are renowned worldwide for our reliable production of high-quality Mesalazine, an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) used in treating inflammatory bowel diseases. At our manufacturing site in Hvidovre, you will head up our Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain office, consisting of 3 full-time team members and one student, reporting directly to the Managing Director of the site.   Your day at Ferring As Head of Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain, your responsibilities include: Financial Leadership & Controlling   Lead the site’s financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and investment planning.   Manage and report monthly results to Group Finance, including analysis of variances and manufacturing performance .  Own product costing models and evaluate cost drivers and manufacturing variances .  Deliver monthly reporting packages and support performance dialogue with cost center managers.  Legal Entity Compliance & Statutory Reporting   Act as Finance Head of the Danish legal entity Syntese A/S.  Ensure compliance with all local financial regulations, including tax, VAT, energy reimbursements, and statutory audit processes.  Oversee preparation and submission of annual financial statements and serve as primary point of contact for auditors.  Further, you will manage the partnership with our Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) provider across the P2P, O2C, and A2R processes, ensuring seamless transactional finance operations. You will oversee the entire Procurement function, driving sourcing activities, leading contract negotiations, and managing key supplier relationships. Additionally, you will lead outbound supply chain planning by coordinating order fulfilment, inventory alignment, and logistics interfaces to support efficient delivery performance. As a leader, you will manage and develop a team of Finance professionals and functional leads, providing ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and structured development planning. Your daily work will be performed on-site in Hvidovre, with flexibility to work from home approximately once a week. Required Qualifications include: Master's or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.  Minimum 8-10 years of progressive finance experience in manufacturing or regulated industry.  Strong knowledge of controlling, budgeting , product costing , and financial reporting.  Solid understanding of Danish financial compliance, statutory reporting, and audit requirements.  Experience working with outsourced finance operations (e.g., BPO models).  Strong Excel skills; experience SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.  Fluent in both Danish and English (written and spoken).  Proven leadership capabilities, stakeholder management, and ability to operate independently.  People come first at Ferring At Syntese, we value initiative and empower our team members to drive positive change.
