The Strategy & Business Development team is looking for a talented and highly motivated intern Application Engineer to work at the new offices of the Servo Drive’s division Excellence Center in Barcelona. Servo drives are at the forefront of innovation in Motion Control, boasting features like miniaturization, ultra-high power density, high efficiency, and the fastest control loops. These cutting-edge drives are designed to excel in demanding applications, making them ideal for medical robotics, humanoids, and AMRs. Come join a team of deeply knowledgeable engineers that strive to build the most reliable, efficient miniature Motion Control systems using modern development tools and practices in a thriving and welcoming environment. Primary Responsibilities: Configure and operate industrial and collaborative robots Design, build and wire robotics setups and demonstrators Benchmark Motion Control components, especially drives Design basic electronic circuits and PCBs in CAD software Design metal or plastic pieces for prototyping in CAD software Write code to command slave devices through industrial networks Use a soldering station to populate or re-work electronic boards Use a 3D printer or small CNC milling machine Write accurate and comprehensive technical documentation in English Required Experience and Education Engineering Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: Robotics/ Mechatronics, Automation/Control, Industrial Electronics, Electric Power Systems, Telecommunications Skills and Competencies: Experienced in the use of typical electronics instrumentation Understand control loops and how to tune them Read schematics and electrical diagrams Experienced in the use of Altium Designer software (Preferred) Experienced in the use of SolidWorks software (Preferred) Experienced in coding in Python (Preferred) Fluent in English, written and spoken Independent, pragmatic, and resolutive, yet responsible and respectful Lateral thinker.
