Mechanical Engineer, Junior Key Role: Applies engineering physics, engineering mathematics and materials science principles to support the design, analysis, manufacture or maintenance of mechanical systems. Applies basic principles, theories, and concepts, limited industry knowledge. Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity, refers more complex issues to higher levels. Works under direct supervision. Performs routine design, fabrication, modification and evaluation of mechanical and electro-mechanical components, sub-systems and systems. Conducts routine analyses and tests pertaining to the development of new designs, methods, materials or processes. Completes required documentation and provide recommendations, as needed.   Basic Qualifications:   Experience with working in a team environment  Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook  Experience as an intern, support contractor, government staff, or industry staff  Knowledge of electro-mechanical systems  Knowledge of materials, fabrication techniques, or assembly  Ability to effectively gather and analyze data Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems  Ability to obtain a Secret clearance  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Additional Qualifications: Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills  Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
