Platform Engineer The Opportunity: Are you looking for an opportunity to leverage your platform engineering expertise in a high-impact role? Booz Allen has an opportunity to showcase your talents by supporting the United States Air Force. We’re looking for a Platform Engineer to join the team and help operate a secure, reliable, and highly available Cloud, Managed Hosting, and Developer Platform. In this role, you’ll thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment and translate business and development team requirements into automated platform solutions. You’ll be responsible for working with a security and compliance team and platform engineers to implement secure infrastructure features, configurations, and automation to create a dynamic platform-as-a-service for development teams. You’ll utilize expertise in AWS Cloud, Cloud or network security, containers and Kubernetes, and CI / CD pipelines, along with excellent communication skills, and an ability to work independently while leading others and work across development teams. You Have: 2+ years of experience with DevOps for containerized or Kubernetes production systems 2+ years of experience working with AWS Cloud and Docker 2+ years of experience with IaC, including Terraform or Ansible Experience with Kubernetes deployment and GitOps tooling, including Helm, Flux, or Argo CD Experience with CI / CD and developer workflow automation such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodeStar or CodePipeline Experience with cloud or network security architecture, including least privilege, IAM, RBAC, or Boundary Protection Experience troubleshooting platform application deployments and configurations Secret clearance Bachelor's degree Ability to obtain an AWS Solution Architect Asso cia te Certification within 6 months of start date Nice If You Have: Experience with concepts of Service Meshes such as Istio or AWS App Mesh Experience with Keycloak Experience with Cloud Native servers, Kubernetes platforms, and container registries Experience with vulnerability management and dynamic or static code analysis Experience with hardened AMIs and container images such as DoD STIGs or CIS Benchmarks Top Secret clearance Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
