You will help drive new opportunities, prepare for client engagements, and contribute to leasing and sales assignments throughout the Portland Metro industrial market. Job Description About the Team The Watt/Clay Team represents both tenants and landlords in the leasing, acquisition, and disposition of industrial properties in the Portland, Oregon market and across the country. They have a proven track record of completing some of the largest industrial lease transactions in the market, and have executed more than 11 million square feet of leasing activity since 2008. As members of Cushman & Wakefield’s Logistics , Food & Beverage , and Land specialty practice groups, the team stays closely connected to national market trends affecting supply chain dynamics, industrial development, and client operations. What You’ll Be Doing … As an Associate , you will learn the foundations of industrial real estate brokerage while supporting the team in business development, market research, and transaction execution. You will gain hands-on experience and mentorship from senior brokers with deep market expertise. If the responsibilities below excite you, this role is a strong match: Work closely with senior leaders throughout an educational, hands-on brokerage training experience Research market trends, available industrial spaces, tenants, ownership activity, and competitive data Support the development of pitch materials, proposals, and client meeting preparations Generate and qualify potential new business leads Conduct cold-calling and outreach to expand the team’s pipeline Track key market indicators such as vacancy, absorption, rents, comps, and construction activity Build foundational understanding of industrial asset classes, logistics drivers, and the Portland industrial landscape Engage in a fast-paced, competitive sales environment with resilience and persistence Compensation & Benefits Cushman & Wakefield provides eligible employees with access to a variety of benefit programs, which may include medical, dental, and vision insurance; flexible spending accounts; health savings accounts; retirement savings plans; life and disability insurance; and paid/unpaid time off. This position is a draw/commission compensation structure : Year 1: Guaranteed draw of $40,000 , with the opportunity to earn additional commissions based on production Years 2 and 3: Increased earning potential through commissions as you build a personal client pipeline and book of business Actual compensation may vary based on location, experience, qualifications, date of hire, and any applicable collective bargaining agreements. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
