An ideal candidate must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, both independently and on a team. This is a per diem position with a monthly requirement of 12 hours. This is an onsite position at the Niskayuna EmUrgentCare, with some travel required. Primary Job Responsibilities: • Properly identify and prepare patients for radiologic procedures and perform diagnostic x-ray exams following established protocols and procedures for patient care and safety in an outpatient urgent care setting • Accurately select the correct patient, anatomy and protocols to complete exam • Confirm, schedule and log completed radiologic procedures in computer and site schedules • Clean and always maintain equipment and examination rooms • Collect vitals and brief medical history of patients • Directing patients to examination rooms • Ensuring rooms are setup for efficient patient care • Ordering and re-stocking of medical supplies • Team support to medical providers and front desk Education Requirements: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required Experience: Demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide basic x-ray procedures Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and body mechanics necessary to safely perform x-ray exams Basic knowledge of radiology equipment including safety hazards common to radiology Ability to communicate clearly and provide routine diagnostic imaging procedures to children, adolescents, adults and geriatric patients with consideration to cultural and developmental stages during the exam process Multi-tasking as a team player in a fast-paced setting Excellent customer service skills Competitive Benefits and Perks: Paid hands-on training Opportunities for growth within the Albany Medical Center family Medical Coverage (CDPHP), Dental and Vision plans available Located on main public transportation lines Paid Time Off Tuition Reimbursement AMC Pension Plan and 403B Retirement About Albany Med Best of the Capital Region Albany Med is at its best when our community needs us most.  We’ve been voted Best Hospital in the Times Union’s annual readers’ poll for two consecutive years.
