Shift: 5:30 AM-2:00 PM Hourly Rate: $23.00 an hour + $0 shift differential Do you have a taste for food? We are hiring for Sanitation/Packaging Specialist on our 1st shift. You will report to the Production/Sanitation supervisor and join a team of 235 plus team member. You will work onsite at our Food manufacturing plant is in Kent WA. You will work 5 days per week, work weeks will include weekends, with overtime as needed. Essential Functions: Clean freezers (and refrigerators) by rinsing, soaping and sanitizing, following standard operating procedures. You will be trained on cleaning and sanitizing the equipment. Mix chemicals for hand wash and sanitation, correctly calculating the proper percentage of chemicals, water and other mixtures. Perform general cleaning and maintenance of structural components such as walls, floors, HVAC units and ductwork, lights, pipes, windows and ceilings. Understand food safety (SQF)/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) standards. Ensure compliance with all safety programs and maintain hazard free work areas. Exercise caution to ensure personal safety and the safety of others. Maintain regular attendance per company policy. Must work weekends. Can work overtime to meet production and sanitation deadlines. Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action. Other responsibilities as assigned. You will also be trained as a Packaging Associate. 1+ years of experience desired.
