Senior Lead SRE Engineer Role Summary We’re looking for a Senior Lead Site Reliability Engineer to own and improve the reliability, performance, and security of our NGINX-based platforms . This role combines hands-on engineering with leadership—driving automation, observability, and best practices for traffic management and application delivery. Key Responsibilities NGINX Expertise : Design, operate, and optimize NGINX/NGINX Plus for reverse proxying, load balancing, TLS termination, and caching. Reliability & Performance : Define and monitor SLOs/SLIs, troubleshoot latency and availability issues, and lead incident response. Automation : Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD pipelines for NGINX configuration and deployments. Security : Manage TLS certificates, enforce secure configurations, and integrate WAF/DDoS protections. Observability : Build dashboards and alerts using Prometheus/Grafana; enable teams with actionable insights. Leadership : Mentor engineers, review designs, and collaborate with product and security teams. Requirements 8+ years in SRE/Platform roles, with deep NGINX experience . Strong Linux, networking (TCP/IP, HTTP/2), and performance tuning skills. Hands-on with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) and CI/CD workflows. Experience with Kubernetes ingress and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana) and security best practices.
