We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the World Check One team, part of the Nottingham-based Risk Intelligence Product Engineering organisation, to help implement modern DevOps practices and support the evolution of our cloud-native infrastructure. World-Check One is a critical platform for Risk Intelligence and compliance screening, across global financial markets.   🌐 What You’ll Do As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll contribute to designing, building, and maintaining the infrastructure and automation that powers our platforms: Automate infrastructure using tools like Terraform , CloudFormation , and GitOps workflows. Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitLab CI to enable fast and reliable software delivery. Deploy and manage Kubernetes workloads using Amazon EKS and Istio Service Mesh. Implement monitoring and alerting to ensure high availability and performance. Collaborate with developers and other teams to align infrastructure with business goals. Continuously improve systems through automation and process optimization. Share knowledge and contribute to a strong DevOps culture within the team. 🛠️ Your Tech Toolkit We’re looking for someone with experience in: Cloud platforms: AWS (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.) Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation Container orchestration: Kubernetes (EKS), Istio Service Mesh CI/CD tooling: GitLab CI (preferred), Jenkins, Bitbucket Scripting & automation: Bash/Shell, Python Security best practices: IAM, encryption in transit/at rest Monitoring & observability: Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar Familiarity with Agile and DevOps principles ✅ What You Bring 2–4 years of experience in DevOps or platform engineering roles. Hands-on experience with cloud-native platforms and automation tools. Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills. A passion for automation and continuous improvement.
