Position Summary The Associate Market Analyst (the analyst) in LSEG Pricing Service is responsible for derivative evaluation and customer service activities. LSEG provides evaluated pricing on over 2.7 million fixed income instruments and derivatives per day which are used by asset managers, custodian banks, investment banks, and third-party vendors. Day to day responsibilities include pricing production activities and managing client communications. Pricing production involves the assessment and validation of market color, maintenance of pricing models, and creation of report files. The analyst will take care of time sensitive queries submitted by customers including pricing coverage, price challenges, and quality checks. The analyst will work with derivatives products such as IRS, Swaptions, FX and Equity Options, CDS, FX Forwards, TRS and Inflation Swaps. Strong passion for capital markets, proactivity, attention to detail, curiosity and understanding of financial mathematics are key for the role. Role Responsibilities Assess and validate market color Provide and follow through on operational improvement or automation ideas Maintain pricing models and market data for vanilla and complex derivative products Perform and improve quality analysis and price controls Update evaluated CDS spread curves Prepare custom files for client delivery Meet daily production schedule deadlines Comply with controls and procedures Handle time sensitive price challenges and coverage requests Assist in ad hoc testing and improvement requests based on client’s needs Handle internal and external client expectations Skills and Experience Required Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience or in the final stage of a bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, actuarial sciences, or engineering Excellent communication, writing, and adaptability skills Programming skills (VBA, Python, SQL, etc.) The ability to work with large amounts of data Proficient in English Passion for capital markets Desired Skills Knowledge of fixed income and mathematics Knowledge of financial markets Ability to work independently and also as part of a team LSEG is committed to encouraging a diverse, equitable, an inclusive work environment, ensuring equal opportunities for all employees, regardless of their background.
