We’re seeking a Senior Web Developer to join our Web Development team in Belgrade. As a Senior Web Developer at Clarivate, you will be responsible for shaping and maintaining the architecture, development, and operational stability of our web platforms.  This role goes beyond traditional WordPress development - requiring an experienced, adaptable programmer capable of working across multiple frameworks, languages, and systems. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality code, building custom integrations with Clarivate products, ensuring platform security, and troubleshooting complex server-side issues. You will work closely with Brand, Content, Marketing, and Technical Operations teams to ensure seamless, scalable, and secure web experiences. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or equivalent 10+ years of experience as a Web Developer including strong expertise in WordPress and Laravel 10+ years of working experience in PHP, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and familiarity with additional languages. At least 2 years of experience with Google Cloud Platform and integrating Google Cloud APIs. It would be great if you also had . . .    Strong knowledge of API design, development, documentation, and integration. Proficiency with Git, SASS, Gulp, Bootstrap, and modern dev tooling. Strong understanding of SEO, responsive design, UX principles, and accessibility. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex issues at the application and server levels. Ability to work independently, lead technical decisions, and adapt quickly to new technologies. What will you be doing in this role?   Full-Stack Web Development - Architect and maintain custom WordPress themes/plugins and Laravel applications (backend modules, dashboards, API layers, automation workflows); develop and support APIs integrating Clarivate platforms, third-party systems, and internal tools; write clean, testable code in PHP, JavaScript, and other languages. Server, Hosting & Performance - Troubleshoot server-level issues (performance, DNS/SSL, caching, hosting failures, security); manage hosting environments, configurations, domains, and databases; optimize performance across load-balanced environments, CDNs, and multiple browsers/devices; collaborate with providers and infrastructure teams to resolve incidents. Cloud & API Integrations - Build and maintain Google Cloud API integrations (Analytics, Search Console); develop and troubleshoot API interactions with Clarivate products and external platforms (e.g., Eloqua); ensure API reliability, authentication security, rate-limit compliance, and error handling. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with designers and product owners to deliver scalable web solutions; support marketing, creative, and demand generation teams for launches and campaigns; resolve ticketing requests with rapid, accurate technical solutions. Security, Maintenance & Best Practices - Stay current on updates, security patches, and best practices for WordPress, Laravel, and modern frameworks; implement backups, monitoring tools, and security hardening across servers and applications.
