We are looking for an experienced Data Architect to provide strategic and technical direction to help deliver our next-generation solutions using cloud-based technologies. About You – experience, education, skills, and accomplishments Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum 10 years’ experience in working in software development Minimum 8 years’ experience of database design & development, with at least 3 years in a senior role Should have exposure to Conceptual, Logical, Physical, Dimensional, Structured vs unstructured data Proficient in SQL & data analytics, using Postgres, Oracle or Apache Spark Experience in designing cloud-based data pipelines & solutions Experience building ETL jobs & data pipelines Experience using data catalogs, such as Apache Hive, Unity Catalog What you will be doing in this role? Provide architectural leadership in shaping strategic, business technology projects, with a strong emphasis on data architecture Create, design and be the key owner of data architecture directives & documentation including data models, technology roadmaps, standards, guidelines and best practices Focus on data quality & measurement throughout the ETL & data pipelines, driving improvements to data management processes, data storage, and data security to meet the needs of the business and customers Lead on technical investigations & proof of concepts, both individually and as part of a team, including being hands-on with code, to make technical recommendations Take a lead role in setting up new project stubs & infrastructure, in collaboration with team leads & DevOps team Act as a key stakeholder between Development & DevOps teams, ensure that future technology choices & designs can be deployed following the Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery paradigm, and the designs have the support of DevOps teams Create documentation for:DataArchitecture Principles, Data Governance, Data Strategy, Data Quality and DataModeling, Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Catalog. About the Team As a senior solutions architect, your peers will your fellow architects and software managers. The architecture team has 7 people in total, a mixture of senior and non-senior team members. We are spread across 5 time zones, from Japan to the US, with two architects are based in India. Your primary stakeholders will the software manager, solutions analysts, product owners and the devops team. Additional stakeholders will be the user experience team and architects in other business units.  Hours of Work    This is a permanent position with Clarivate.9 hours per day including lunch break. you should be flexible with working hours to align with globally distributed teams and stakeholders.
