ROLE SUMMARY: Temporally analyst position in Oslo. For the right candidate we will you will be following markets developments and trends for Power markets in Europe and globally to support the power product and be working on data related to these markets. We are heavily relying on weather data.  The candidate will have strong analytical and quantitative skills. The candidate will have high attention to detail, possess excellent communication skills, and be self-motivated, inquisitive, resourceful, and independent. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Write analysis and reports to support traders and market participants. Following and communicate policy analysis and regulatory compliance within energy markets. Support and develop the product in LSEG’ Workspace Analyze supply and demand and other fundamental price drivers for the power markets in Europe (both Nordics and Continental Europe) WHAT YOU'LL BRING: Higher education Ph.D in economics, statistics, applied physics, meteorology, or equivalent. Demonstrated analytical and modelling skills, excellent teamwork and communication skills. Interest in power and energy/commodities markets Proficiency in use of analytical software (Matlab/Python/R). High attention to details, self-motivated and independent Good command of English.
