Level 3 Shift Engineer – Ware Depot £25 per hour | £37.50 overtime | 40 hours per week | Permanent Arriva is looking for experienced and motivated Level 3 Shift Engineer to join our team at our Ware Depot. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a modern, commercially operated fleet and be part of a business committed to delivering cleaner, greener and more reliable public transport. As a Level 3 Shift Engineer you’ll play a critical role in keeping our buses and coaches safe, compliant and on the road, carrying out planned maintenance, diagnosing faults and completing repairs to the highest standards. What Arriva Offers £25 per hour £37.50 overtime, with regular overtime available, You will be working 5 days out of 7 (includes weekends) 40-hour working week, working hours in between 05:30 - 22:00 , rotational shift pattern (Full rota details will be shared at interview) Permanent, full-time contract 20 days’ holiday plus 8 bank holidays Free bus travel for you and a nominated family member PCV license training (if required) Arriva Village – retail and lifestyle discounts worth up to £1,200 per year Arriva Wellbeing Service – mental health and wellbeing support Arriva Workplace Pension Clear career progression opportunities across a large national operator Your Role You’ll be responsible for ensuring our fleet meets both Arriva’s high internal standards and DVSA compliance, helping us deliver safe, reliable services for our customers. Your duties will include: Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on buses and coaches Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and quality inspections Diagnosing and rectifying vehicle faults Preparing vehicles for MOT and DVSA inspections Supporting continuous improvement in vehicle reliability Attending roadside breakdowns when required What We’re Looking For NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in PSV or HGV Maintenance & Repair (International qualifications considered) Full UK driving license (max 6 points) Ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical Join Arriva and be part of a team keeping the UK moving, while helping us deliver a more sustainable and connected future
