The Position To strengthen Roche Ukraine’s role as a trusted, transparent, and long-term partner of the Ukrainian healthcare ecosystem by building authentic collaborations with patient organizations.  Patients Associations Engagement Lead (PAL) ensures that patients’ voices and lived experiences inform Roche’s strategy, supporting access to innovation, disease awareness, and health-system resilience in Ukraine. Key Responsibilities 1. Patient-organization engagement ●      Map and prioritize national and regional patient associations across Roche’s key therapeutic areas (oncology, rare diseases, neuroscience, ophthalmology). ●      Build long-term, trust-based partnerships guided by Roche values and compliance standards. ●      Co-create awareness and education projects that improve patient literacy, empowerment, and access to care. ●      Ensure all collaborations are transparent, documented, and publicly disclosed according to EFPIA codes of ethics and Ukrainian legislation. 2. Advocacy and ecosystem development ●      Collaborate with patient associations leaders and healthcare NGOs to identify policy and access barriers; co-develop proposals for improvement. ●      Support patient organizations’ capacity-building (training, data, communication, networking). ●      Contribute to Roche Ukraine’s footprint communication — showcasing how patient collaboration drives systemic impact. 3. Internal partnership ●      Act as the link between patients and internal teams (Medical Affairs, Market Access, Communications, Public Affairs). ●      Bring patient insights into strategic discussions, access dossiers, and public affairs initiatives. ●      Train internal colleagues on ethical engagement and patient-centered decision-making. 4. Compliance and governance ●      Guarantee full adherence to Roche’s global and local compliance frameworks. ●      Manage and archive all interactions, agreements, and support grants transparently. ●      Promote internal culture of integrity in all patient interactions. Core Competencies Strategic Ecosystem mapping, stakeholder engagement, healthcare policy insight Relational Empathy, diplomacy, trust-building, cross-sector collaboration Operational Project management, documentation, outcome tracking Ethical & Governance Mastery of EFPIA, local ethical codes, transparency principles Communication Storytelling, facilitation, public representation, bilingual communication Cultural Sensitivity to Ukraine’s healthcare realities and resilience context Ideal Background ●      Education: Medicine, Pharmacy, Public Health, Sociology, or Communications. ●      Experience: 3–5+ years in patient relations, healthcare NGOs, or corporate affairs. ●      Proven record of successful partnership with patient groups or public-health programs. ●      Strong understanding of Ukrainian healthcare reform, patient advocacy ecosystem, and European best practices. ●      Fluent Ukrainian and English Personality & Mindset ●      Deep respect for patients’ lived experience and advocacy voice. ●      Transparent, ethical, emotionally intelligent communicator. ●      Network-oriented: connects people and initiatives for shared outcomes. ●      Balanced mindset — combines corporate accountability with social purpose.
