The Position Overview Roche Pharma Vietnam offers a unique and exciting opportunity for an executive to lead an externally focused agile organization with a mindset that engages our employees to bring our medicines and services to more patients faster, while shaping the local healthcare system toward long term sustainability. As a General Manager (GM) you will act as an VACC leader (Visionary, Architect, Coach and Catalyst) and ensure all employees live Pharma International’s desired state of culture. While reporting to the Head of Lower Middle Income Countries (LMIC) Strategy Realization ,  you will champion global vision and Pharma International strategies and proactively shape the country’s market environment, depend and improve Roche market position and depth of market access by developing strong, trust-based relationships with customers and stakeholders (especially regulators, Pharma and Healthcare associations , customers, media, key accounts and key opinion leaders) Priorities of this position are: You have an enterprise mindset and always favor the overall corporate vision and outcomes.  You will be a member of the LMIC4, APAC and Pharma International GM community, contributing to the international network by your leadership impact beyond Vietnam Establish Roche as a trusted partner to all external stakeholders, by actively shaping local & broader healthcare ecosystems towards long-term sustainability - Vietnam and across the Pharma International  network. Focused on co-creating with stakeholders and partners, ensuring alignment with local and global regulations, license-to-operate requirements, and adherence to the Roche Group Code of Conduct.    Critical priority also will be to build a diverse talent pipeline and a growth mindset encouraging an inclusive network culture and people fluidity that provides exceptional learning opportunities to our employees and the organization and inspires them to collectively bring our innovation to more patients faster.  Delivering on all the above parts with the intention of accelerating our journey to the North Star by driving enterprise outcomes and contributing in equal measures to the performance of regions, country (incl. P&L responsibility), and the wider organization, fully leveraging global networks, digital enablement, and catalyzing an empowered local approach. To be successful: You have a successful track record of role modeling and passionately advocating VACC (Visionary, Architect, Coach, and Catalyst)leadership, Roche Operating principles, and inclusive leadership.  Particularly important in this role : will be to achieve the right balance of relationship with achieving; and empowerment with accountability - embracing the cultural context of Vietnam.   Y ou are an experienced and highly creative leader of cross-functional and networked teams, who knows how to both attract, retain and develop diverse talent and connect them to the wider enterprise You are able to embrace complexity and to lead through the ambiguity of emerging markets. You lead in a way that is inclusive and value contributions by recognizing the unique strengths & perspective of each individual, seek out diverse viewpoints, and  incorporates diverse perspectives into the decision making process You maintain a global strategic mindset and inspire the high performance of a multi-generational team - with clear and compelling impact internally and externally  You can operate at a strategic level AND you can be hands-on - all in service of our North Star and the ecosystem.  Good working knowledge of the healthcare and broader ecosystem of Vietnam is an advantage  You are an effective global communicator and mobilize teams to our purpose and vision.  Requirements: At least 8-10 years of experience with at minimum 2-3 years in managing the P&L for a unit/business, or in roles involving sales/marketing. Strong preference with prior GM experience as well significant experience in the pharmaceutical industry,  ideally if you demonstrate multiple large-scale leadership with diverse background, not limited to cross-portfolio/functional/ commercial functions or  a mix of global/regional and local experience   Demonstrated high impact internally and externally given your strong customer focus with a keen eye on delivering patient value Strong understanding, appreciation, and ability to operate in a diverse cultural context - you have strong commercial awareness and the ability to thrive in changing economic environments. Proven ecosystem-shaping experience in dynamic political environments would be an advantage.   Strong financial business acumen and proven track record of ensuring financial and license to operate governance Strong commitment to personal development and demonstration of a growth mindset Ability to lead teams and create a working culture that is transparent and values-driven and ensures personal growth of employees; track record of VACC leadership, developing talent, hiring the best, and strong ability to balance relational with achieving.    Demonstrated leadership aptitude, aligned with VACC competencies Fluency in English required     Who we are A healthier future drives us to innovate.
