Oracle Cloud Engineer Role We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Oracle Cloud Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, implementing, and managing our cloud infrastructure on Oracle Cloud (OCI). You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment and operation of Oracle Cloud services. We are rapidly expanding the team to embark on a major change initiative to augment an existing application ecosystem to enable our business to expand into new markets in the MEA region and beyond. This is an exciting time to become part of the Cigna technology team, working on an initiative that is laying the foundations for our future state technology stack that will ultimately be used across our international business. About You We're seeking a passionate and results-oriented Oracle Cloud Engineer to join our dynamic team. You'll be instrumental in shaping the future of our cloud infrastructure, leveraging your expertise in Oracle Cloud (OCI) to design, implement, and manage robust, scalable, and secure cloud solutions. Passionate about Oracle and keep up to date with the latest enhancements, releases and future roadmaps. The type of person that loves the challenge of solving complex technical problems by thinking outside the box. Core responsibilities: Design, deploy and support infrastructure on Oracle Cloud (OCI) including compute, network, storage, routing and next generation firewalls, including Oracle standard best practice for DMZ hub and spoke zero trust architecture. Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaaC) tools like Terraform. Configure and manage cloud resources for scalability, performance, and high availability. Implement and maintain robust security configurations for our cloud environment following best practices. Monitor and troubleshoot cloud infrastructure issues to ensure optimal performance and uptime. Collaborate with developers and operations teams to integrate cloud services with existing applications and workflows. Stay up to date on the latest advancements and innovations in Oracle Cloud technologies. Document technical processes and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing. Essential: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience working with cloud technologies. Proven experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform). Strong understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, routing, firewalls). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desirable: Oracle Cloud Certifications is a plus. Experience working with Agile development methodologies. Competencies: Strong stakeholders' management experience and good communication skills. Flexible, open mind-set and comfortable working with existing systems. Passionate about technology and applying it to business solutions. Enthusiastic and possessing a “can do” attitude. Have a track record of getting things done, within a fast-paced and changing environment. Creative and be good at bringing others along with you. You will be a team player with excellent written and oral communication skills.
