Position Summary Evernorth seeks a detail-oriented Accounting Lead Analyst for our Global Capability Center (GCC) in Hyderabad. This role supports accurate, timely, and compliant accounting processes. The ideal candidate will have solid foundational US GAAP expertise, a willingness to learn, and a collaborative mindset to support global financial operations. Summary of Key Responsibilities Process Execution & Documentation: Assist in developing, documenting, and maintaining accounting processes to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP, NAIC Statutory and company policies. Collaboration: Work effectively with team members across global locations and functions. Audit Support: Provide information and documentation for internal and external audits as requested. Issue Resolution: Identify and help resolve routine issues, escalating complex matters to management. Change Management & Continuous Improvement: Support process enhancements and stay updated on accounting practices and technologies. Operational Support: Participate in financial close and reporting activities, ensuring adherence to internal controls. Process Excellence: Suggest improvements and support automation initiatives. Risks & Controls / Process Excellence Support the execution of well-controlled processes, focusing on established controls. Seek opportunities to automate controls and improve efficiency. Assist in maintaining Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation. Contribute to workflow optimization and technology adoption as directed. Competencies / Skills Analytical Thinking & Problem-Solving: Analyze financial data and provide basic recommendations. Communication & Collaboration: Communicate clearly and work well within teams. Adaptability: Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software and financial reporting. Attention to Detail: Understand assigned accounting functions and their impact. Business Partnership Mindset: Work constructively with others. Time Management: Organize tasks and meet deadlines. Stakeholder Management: Build positive relationships with team members and stakeholders. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting , or related field. Preferred: MBA,CA.ICWA,CFPA OR CPA 5-8 years of experience in financial accounting or operations. Basic understanding of US GAAP reporting (required). General knowledge of US NAIC statutory reporting (preferred, not required). Experience in insurance or healthcare accounting (preferred, not required). Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite) and reporting tools (Hyperion, Oracle EPM) (required). Familiarity with Tableau, PowerBi, SQL, Alteryx, Python/R, and Workiva (preferred). Good communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and support a culture of continuous improvement.
