About your team The Institutional Sales Team in Taiwan is responsible for asset gathering and retention related to the provision of investment management solutions through mutual fund and mandate services to local institutional investors, including government funds, insurance companies, asset managers, and other financial institutions. The team works closely with the regional institutional franchise and other functions to grow the business. About your role The Taiwan Institutional business is well established with strong capabilities and a deep history. This is a Head of Institutional team role where the individual will work closely with the Head of Taiwan to develop and implement business strategies to grow the business. The individual will particularly focus on: 1. Business development and developing new business channels & relationships, covering key pension funds, insurance, SITE, Banking, and Corporate clients. 2. Building, developing, and growing the existing team. 3. Playing an active role as one of the Senior Leaders in Taiwan to help shape the corporate strategy for Fidelity Taiwan. Given the potential of the Taiwan pension and insurance market, we see significant growth opportunities in these areas. By working closely with the regional and global institutional and insurance teams, we expect this individual to effectively tap into these resources to grow our business. Additionally, as private assets and ETFs become a larger portion of our clients' asset allocation decisions, we expect this person to have deep knowledge in these asset classes. About you Provide overall strategic direction and leadership to support Fidelity’s Institutional business in Taiwan. Set sales targets and develop goals in conjunction with the Head of Taiwan and Regional Head of Institutional Business. Develop a high performing sales culture through the implementation of strategy, systematic process management and team management with the appropriate degree of rigour around the sales process. Develop goals for the team, develop team members to achieve goals, by providing mentoring plus external sales coaching and training. Play a senior role in managing key accounts and be accountable for delivering against new client acquisition targets, whilst maintaining and servicing existing mandates. Cultivate constructive relationships, and work in collaboration with other Fidelity colleagues around the world (including APACxJ country heads and institutional leads) to ensure optimal strategies are utilised throughout the region with sensitivity, consideration and understanding of the regional market. Work closely with key Fidelity stakeholders to provide input into the design of appropriate capabilities for the institutional market. Understand the complexities of Fidelity’s global structure.  Possess the acumen to identify, acknowledge and effectively communicate with all appropriate entities within Fidelity. In conjunction with the Head of Taiwan to provide executive level briefings, communications, status and updates concerning the Institutional business goals, projects, plans and initiatives. Act as the spokesperson in relation to Fidelity Institutional business in the public forum and represent Fidelity on appropriate public and industry groups. Develop a positive relationship and work closely with key consultants in the region. Ensure the Institutional team understands and satisfies legislative and internal compliance requirements. Experience and Qualifications A highly collaborative player-coach who brings a strategic mindset and a track record of success building and managing high-performing institutional sales teams. Strong insurance and private markets expertise would be advantageous.
