About the Opportunity Job Type: Permanent Application Deadline: 31 January 2026 Job Description                                                                                                  Title                     Money Market / Fixed Income Trader Department        Trading - Asia Fixed Income Location             Hong Kong Reports To         Head of Fixed Income Trading APAC Level                   6 About the team - Fidelity Trading Fidelity has Trading desks operating across the globe - Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, London, Dublin and Toronto - covering cash and derivative products in Equities, Fixed Income and FX, in order to facilitate the trading needs of the various Investment Teams across the firm. The FI Trading team in Asia manages the execution and liquidity requirements for all FIL and FIC funds as it relates to APAC markets. Traders actively engage with the investment team in order to deliver best outcome for our clients. As our Money Market franchise continue to grow, we are looking for a Trader who will be dedicated to this franchise, as well as act as a back up for the rest of the team (Rates & Credit) when necessary. About the role - Money Market / Fixed Income Trader As the primary Money Market Trader you will be responsible for: Trade the day to day executions of our HKD / USD / SGD / JPY Money Market franchises Understand & get comfortable with complex SFC, MPFA, as well as internal fund guidelines Work with various teams (incl. Custodians, Ops, PSG, Compliance & Risk) to ensure investments adhere but also optimize funds guidelines to deliver best possible returns to our clients Create strong partnership with PMs to understand funds strategy & clients expectations Build strong partnership with banks to get access to best liquidity & pricing Trade the whole range of Money Market instruments (TD, CD, CP, MTN, Bonds…) to deliver funds objectives Identify and manage initiatives to improve operational processes and reduce operational risks Work with middle/back office to ensure cash and positions reconciliations Work closely with fund administrators to ensure timely and accurate production of fund NAV Explore ways to improve process & reduce operational risk by technology implementation where relevant As a member of the Global Trading team, you will be responsible for transacting in fixed income securities on behalf of Fidelity’s fund managers, and as part of Fidelity’s global investment team. This will require you to have a strong ability to communicate news and views to a broad and diverse team of investors and develop an understanding of their respective objectives and requirements. You will be expected to manage all your activities with utmost care and attention, applying market-leading trading skills and standards, and understanding the impact of your actions on all of Fidelity’s funds and our reputation as a market participant and as an asset manager. As a trader, you will be a highly valued core member of the investment team and actively engage with portfolio managers and analysts on an ongoing basis, including discussing trends, liquidity conditions or market technicals, and ultimately influencing investment decisions. About you Experience and Qualifications Up to 5y experience in Trading Money Market / Fixed Income, either in a similar buy-side role or sell side Treasury desk Keen interest in technology (e-trading, automation, algo pricing, reporting etc …), coding skills a plus Ability to prioritise and manage own workload effectively in a busy environment and deadlines Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication skills, both written and verbal - English mandatory, Cantonese/Mandarin a plus Feel rewarded For starters, we’ll offer you a comprehensive benefits package.
