Position Summary: The performance engineering team provides enterprise-wide performance evaluation and tuning recommendations to measure non-functional requirements for applications and infrastructure components. The performance engineer must have knowledge of performance testing tools such as Neoload, Loadrunner or Jmeter and Monitoring tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Splunk.  The performance engineer should have extensive experience measuring application response times, error rates, throughput, and resiliency behaviors. Also, the performance engineer should understand Middleware technologies, especially Java application server technologies. In addition, the engineer should have direct experience partnering with product vendors, applications teams, and support teams to resolve issues and achieve organizational goals. Job Description & Responsibilities : Work with developers to define non-functional requirements Work with data team to ensure the volume and integrity of the data will meet testing requirements Create and modify performance test scripts Test, measure, interpret application non-functional requirements Monitor the application and infrastructure during test Interpret infrastructure key performance indicators Diagnose application errors and slow performance Utilize DevOps tooling to automate testing Develop reports summarizing the results of testing Participate on calls or chat during load testing and go / no-go recommendations Engage various infrastructure and application teams to receive sign-off Lead Proof of Concepts (POCs) including working with application teams, consultant firms, and product vendors Provide knowledge transfer to team members Partner with application development and production support leaders Engage in capacity planning discussions, forecasts, solutions Qualifications Competencies / Skills: Customer Focus – is dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; acts with customers in mind; and establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect Interpersonal Savvy – relates well to all kinds of people—up, down and sideways, inside and outside the organization Learning and Applying Quickly – learns quickly when facing new problems; a relentless and versatile learner; and quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure of anything Organizational Agility – knowledge about how the organization works; knows how to get things done both through formal channels and the informal network; and understand the culture of the organization Perspective – can discuss multiple aspects and impacts of issues and project them into the future; can think globally; and looks toward the broadest possible view of an issue/challenge Priority Setting – quickly zeroes in on the critical few and puts the trivial many aside; can quickly sense what will help or hinder accomplishing a goal; and create focus / eliminates roadblocks Problem Solving – looks beyond the obvious and doesn’t stop at the first answers; is excellent at honest analysis; and uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems with effective solutions Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher preferred or equivalent work experience. Experience Required: 5 to 8 years of experience working in an environment supporting enterprise applications  Experience Desired: Experience with product vendor relationships Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong interpersonal and relationship skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Demonstrated Teamwork behaviors Experience utilizing DevOps tools.
