Job Description: The Lab Manager oversees all makerspace operations for the Microsoft Garage in Cambridge, ensuring equipment readiness, EHS compliance, and an efficient, safe innovation environment. Responsibilities include daily lab opening/closing, preventive maintenance of fabrication and electronics tools, training users on equipment, maintaining inventory and procurement lists, enforcing lab rules, documenting safety and operational procedures, and providing hands-on support during workshops, demos, and hackathons. The Lab Manager partners closely with Garage Program Managers and Microsoft stakeholders to enable prototyping, events, and hands-on learning experiences as outlined in the Garage Managed Services SOW. Compensation at DXC is influenced by an array of factors, including but not limited to the experience, job-related knowledge, skills, competencies, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $55,100 - $102,300.
