The Role We Are Offering You As an Assistant Instructor at the Navy Synthetic Warfighting Centre (NSWC), you will play a key role in delivering advanced tactical training and supporting synthetic warfare training events for the Royal Australian Navy. Your responsibilities will include: Delivering Advanced Tactical Training programs and classroom-based lessons. Managing simulator databases, scenario design, and execution plans. Configuring combat system trainers and voice communication circuits for synthetic events. Providing simulation support by emulating actions of aircraft and vessels in a synthetic environment. Assisting with system operability testing and maintaining simulation control room state boards. Our Ideal Candidate Has: Essential: Vocational or technical degree with 5–8 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with Naval Combat Management Systems (AEGIS and 9LV preferred). Strong understanding of RAN operational structure, warfighting principles, and doctrine. Experience with ADF operations and exercise requirements (minimum 5 years). Desirable: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment. Background in roles such as Surveillance Control Officer, Fighter Controller, Air Combat Officer, or similar Defence positions.
