Following a major investment in our Nuneaton site, our cheese packing site, which has seen the addition of 13 new packaging lines, we’re excited to offer an opportunity for a  Shift Manager  (internally known as a  Shift Lead ) to join our expanding team and make a real impact. Our Nuneaton facility is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, equipped with a wide range of technologies that allow us to pack both branded and private label cheese products in multiple formats – from snacking portions to sliced, grated, and block cheese. Shift Pattern: 24/7 rostered working days & nights = 165 shifts per year. YOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY… Leading and motivating a team of at least 100 colleagues per shift to deliver production targets efficiently and safely across 13 production lines. Driving operational excellence by minimising waste, maximising line uptime, and ensuring compliance with food safety and quality standards. Acting as a key decision-maker during shifts, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring proactive planning to avoid disruptions. Championing Saputo’s values , Inclusive agenda, and Manufacturing Performance System (MPS) to build a high-performing, inclusive team culture. Managing projects and cost control in line with budgets. YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU HAVE… Experience working in the food manufacturing, pharmaceutical or similar industry, including in a production management role. Strong knowledge of and experience using Lean tools (e.g., SIC, 5S, GEMBA), HACCP, and health & safety standards (IOSH, Intermediate Food Hygiene). Proven leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire, develop, and manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and IT skills, with a hands-on approach to manufacturing and continuous improvement.
