Roles & Responsibilities: Warner Brothers Discovery (WBD) is looking to hire a full-time Software Engineer II to join our Data Quality team. In this role, you'll play a key part in helping our partners define how data drives business impact, evaluate data reliability, and deliver solutions to validate and monitor data quality at scale. You'll apply advanced software engineering techniques to address complex, data-centric problems and develop automated solutions. Data Quality Engineering: Successful track record of instrumenting tools, automation, and processes at scale for frontend and backend Quality engineering activities (Unit, Integration, User journey, regression testing) Data Validation: Expertise in validating data quality, integrity, and consistency across different datasets. Analysis and Design - Analyze systems and data to identify data quality gap, data patterns, detect anomalies and provide solutions.  Big Data Technologies: Experience with big data frameworks like Hadoop, Apache Spark, and distributed computing environments. Effectively communicate – through technical documentation, and experience using various tools and technologies such as JIRA, Confluence, GitHub. Partner across Teams - Partner with analysts, engineers, subject matter experts, and product managers to apply WBD’s analytical and quality methods to satisfy stakeholder needs. What to Bring: 3-5 years of hands-on software and quality engineering experience focused on automating Data Validation at scale Strong proficiency in at least one programming language - Python, Java, JavaScript, or Scala Strong proficiency in SQL Experience working with streaming data platforms (Kafka, Kinesis) and distributed data frameworks (Spark, Flink). Experience working with cloud data warehouses like Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery. Experience working with public cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure) Expertise in automation testing for responsive web apps, mobile apps (iOS/Android), Connected TV platforms (Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV). Experience with automation tools like Selenium, Appium and CICD systems like Jenkins, Github Actions, Gitlab CI Familiarity with real-world ML systems (configuration, data collection, data verification, feature extraction, resource and process management, analytics, training, serving, validation, experimentation, monitoring). Familiarity with Gen AI based test automation, models, processes and tools In-depth knowledge and understanding of standard quality best practices, techniques and methodologies to drive continuous quality improvements What We Offer: A Great Place to work.
