Provides primary care to students, faculty, staff, community members and families participating in the East Texas Nursing Mobile Clinic while working collaboratively with an interprofessional team. Travels to the various Mobile Clinic sites to provide services.     What you need to know    Salary: Will be commensurate based on the selected hire’s education and experience .     Please note:   May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.   Depending upon the nature of your position, you may be required to receive immunizations (excluding COVID and Flu).   This position is funded from grant and/or contract funding which is renewed under the provisions of the grantor of the contract. This position, therefore, is contingent upon continuation of funding of these grants and/or contracts and satisfactory job performance.   Apply! You may upload these documents to the application under CV/Resume .     Required Education and Experience   Master of Science in Nursing or higher with national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner.   One year directly related experience serving as a Family Nurse Practitioner   Preferred Qualifications   Proficient with electronic health records ( eCW preferred)   Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others   Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications   Knowledge of standard nursing procedures and techniques   Strong verbal and written communication skills   Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills   Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality   American Heart Association – Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification   Experience working with individuals in rural or medically underserved communities   Active license as a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas   Active license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, Family Nurse Practitioner in the state of Texas with prescriptive authority and national board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner   CPR Certification   State of Texas class 'C' vehicle operator's license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.   Responsibilities   Performs history, psychosocial, and physical examinations, diagnosis of acute, chronic, and urgent/episodic primary care conditions, formulates therapeutic plans, interprets laboratory and diagnostic imaging, electrocardiographic exams, medication management, and provides education to patients and their families.   Coordinates the care of patients to provide safe, efficient, effective, and timely patient-centered care. Liaises between clinical staff and consult services.
