Job Description: The Volunteer for International Experience (VIE) scheme allows young Europeans under 28 years old to gain valuable, paid work experience internationally, by working abroad for up to two years. The Command & Control (C2) software solutions of Airbus Defence and Space support land forces in the challenging task of assessing, planning and directing military operations at various levels of command centers and mobile command posts. We are looking for a V.I.E. Software Developer (m/f/d) with a strong background in web- and mobile- application development for Airbus Defence and Space in Friedrichshafen. The main activities are to design, develop and deploy software modules in web- or mobile-environments. Main tasks in this position are as follows: Designing HMI, workflows and data models Creating reusable, tested and documented components and modules Development of UI concepts and prototypes for internal or customer demonstrations Working in an agile SCRUM team which is part of a larger community collaborating using the SAFe framework Supporting the testing and test automation on different levels Required Qualifications & Experiences: Completed studies in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent Advanced knowledge in web- and mobile-app development technologies like HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Android, etc. Working experience in Package managers like NPM, yarn, etc. The candidate (m/f/d) has to be open minded, innovative, decisive and willing to participate in an agile environment where he/she will grow his/her professional career Advanced level of German and / or English skills It also helps being familiar with: Experience in Modern Web Frameworks (Angular, Material UI, node.js, etc.) Modern UI/UX design and using RESTful and WebSocket APIs MicroServices, Docker containers and Kubernetes Tools like git, JIRA, Jenkins Security technology like JWT, OAuth, HTTPS Experience in Continuous-Integration and –Deployment Automated testing and agile software development methods This job requires the constant awareness of the compliance risks we face in day-to-day responsibilities.
