About the Role As a Gap Graphic Designer you will work closely with your design and merchandising team to create optimistic and original art. Inspiring research, solid art creation, meticulous production work, building compelling presentations and collaboration are the fundamental pillars of this role. What You'll Do C r e a t e on-t r end appa r el g r aphics th a t support Gap’s seasonal me s sages and align with divisional design c on c epts Under s tand and assist in identifying seasonal g r aphic t r ends and p r o vide anal y sis th r ough online / in- s t o r e r esea r ch, as well as gather relevant inspiration outside of apparel that speaks to over-arching aesthetic trends. Assist Senior graphic designer in a uthoring t ools t o c ommunic a t e these t r ends t o the c r o s s-functional t eam. Design in t o seasonal c on c epts th a t c onsider me r chant r oadma p , c o s t ta r gets and c onsumer insight in f orm a tion. Need to be self-directed and manage workload and time independently Earn ownership of a specialized category within the division; driving creative concepts and presentations to graphics team leaders. P r odu c e and maintain g r aphic p r esent a tion boa r ds f or mile s t one meetings in coordination with Senior Designer and director. Identify opportunities f or n e wne s s and inn o v a tion b y utilizing the g r aphic t r end f o r eca s t when c r e a ting g r aphic c on t ent and the e x ecution of r el a ti v e g r aphic t echniques. P r epa r e and maintain g r aphic art w ork p r oduction files as needed again s t seasonal mile s t ones and pipeline p r oduction c onside r a tions. R e vi e w production samples t o ensu r e quality and a c cu r a t e e x ecution of p r oduction. P r esent design e x ecutions t o c r o s s functional partners during p r oduct r e vi e w s. Who You Are BA Graphic Design preferred, or equivalent experience 3-7 y ears appa r el g r aphics e xperien c e . Knowledge of graphics production (e.g., printing methods, apparel graphic techniques, etc.). Strong computer skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, Miro, Clo, etc.) Strong hand skills (Illustration, painting, drawing) Strong time management, interpersonal communication and organizational skills Strong sense of image and type
