Job Description: In order to support the Communication Technologies, Airbus Defence & Space is looking for a PhD Thesis on Wireless Over-The-Air Computation for Aerospace Applications (d/f/m) Are you looking for a PhD Thesis position and want to get to know the work of a Scientist at Airbus Central Research and Technology?  Then apply now! Your impact will be on exploiting wireless computation to improve or enable future aerospace applications. Your tasks and responsibilities Research and development of wireless computation and communication between onboard and between external distributed systems.  Exploration for aerospace applications to ensure ultra-low latency, security and privacy. Experimental implementations including advanced elements such as reconfigurable intelligent surfaces Desired skills and qualifications A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering. A background in RF technology, communication and ideally computing systems. Hands-on programming experience with Python and/or C. Experience with Software Defined Radios e.g. GNURadio is a plus Knowledge of aerospace systems is a plus. An independent, self-motivated mindset with an enthusiasm for working in a dynamic and agile research environment.
