Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and proactive Electronic Warfare Systems Engineer to join our high-performing team responsible for the development of an advanced Onboard Training System for a next-generation Trainer Aircraft . This role focuses on the design, analysis, and verification of Electronic Warfare (EW) simulation capabilities within the aircraft's training environment, ensuring realistic and effective pilot instruction. Key Responsibilities: As an integral part of our team, your primary responsibilities will include: Design, develop, and integrate embedded Electronic Warfare training functionalities into trainer aircraft systems, encompassing radar warning receivers , j ammers , and other EW countermeasures simulations . System Detailed Design:  Functional requirements specification, modeling & prototyping, subsystem specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), technical drawings, and equipment integration. Supplier Technical Steering:  Oversight of suppliers within a V-shaped development framework, ensuring adherence to technical requirements and quality standards and project milestones. Verification & Validation (V&V) Activities:  Conducting product laboratory validation, supporting aircraft ground and flight testing, and ensuring the full qualification and certification of the system within strict time constraints. Cross-functional Collaboration:  Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of all system components, fostering a culture of open communication and proactive problem-solving Required Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical profile with the following qualifications: Technical Expertise:  Previous experience in the development of  Embedded Training Systems  or similar complex systems is highly desirable. Operational Knowledge:  Appreciated knowledge of the operation of sensors and weapons in combat aircraft, as well as operational training needs, to enable effective emulation and training scenarios Simulation Environments and Architecture: Proficiency in simulation technologies, environments, and protocols (e.g., HLA, DIS). In-depth knowledge of simulation system architectures and technologies to ensure seamless integration of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) entities. Experience with simulation and modeling tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, Python) for EW system analysis. Functional Specification and Validation:  Experience in the functional specification and validation of simulation models for sensors, effectors, and weapons (Air-to-Air and Air-to-Ground). Strong understanding of Electronic Warfare principles , including radar theory, signal processing, threat emulation, and countermeasures EW Sensors & Subsystems:  In-depth knowledge of mission sensors and subsystems, including RWR, MWS, LWR, DIRCM, CMDS, ECMs, Radar, and other related technologies. Avionics Systems:  Familiarity with aircraft displays, navigation systems, computing platforms, transponders, and avionics interfaces (e.g., MIL-STD-1553) to accomplish an overall integration between onboard systems. Development & Integration:  Comprehensive understanding of development and integration activities, from requirements capture to verification and validation, ensuring the delivery of a qualified and certified system. This includes knowledge in safety, quality assurance, and configuration control. Collaborate with software engineers, hardware engineers, and test teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality of EW training components Procurement Activities:  Experience in supplier selection, control, and monitoring activities from a technical point of view. Soft Skills:  Exceptional proactiveness, excellent communication skills, assertiveness, adaptability, and a strong ability to work effectively under pressure. Willingness to travel as needed to support project requirements. Language Proficiency:  Strong verbal and written skills in both  Spanish and English .
