Summary Job Description: Registered Nurse IV Therapy- Part Time, Nights Status: Part Time Shift: Third About The Unit: The IV Team provides 24-hour services to patients and nursing staff. The IV  Team assists with vascular access and places PIV’s, Midlines, and PICC lines.  Nurses in this area serve as experts in vascular access techniques and act as a  resource and educator to nursing staff. Strong IV skills desired. Job Summary: Registered nurse implements the nursing process for each assigned to his/her care regardless of age (i.e. infancy to geriatric) and is responsible for the patient’s care consistent with the Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies and procedures. The registered nurse promotes positive patient outcomes, and the delivery of quality patient care and initiates change through active involvement in the unit-based and hospital shared governance councils while contributing to a healthy professional practice environment. Requirements: Active Kentucky RN License. Associate's degree in nursing required. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
