Job Description: Material and Process Engineer for Composite Applications in Aircrafts  Join Materials, Processes & Test department - To perform composite raw material qualifications To drive AI/ ML applications in composite material domain - Drive the First part Part Qualification of the composite parts and enable production readiness         within the stipulated timeline - to understand all kind of Thermoset, Thermoplastic & Core materials - to understand all kind of different technologies for composites manufacturing   What we offer: A diverse and international team interacting with a global material and component supply chain supported by an agile and open-minded management team A dynamic and fast-paced business environment where your experience, expertise and knowledge directly impacts day-to-day business operations as well as how cabin and cargo products will look like in the future The opportunity to grow continuously in your field of expertise and develop yourself supported by professional training and a network of enthusiastic and knowledgeable colleague Skills/Experience:  Knowledge and work experience on thermoset polymer matrix composite materials Prepregs Fibres – Carbon, Glass, Aramid Thermoset resin systems – Epoxy, Phenolic, Bismaleimides Cores  Honeycomb –  Aluminium, Nomex, Glass Foam – Rohacell/PU Lightning strike Protection material – Copper mesh, Bronze mesh Peel ply Bonding adhesives Manufacturing of thermoset Composite parts Monolithic/Sandwich parts Co-curing, Co-bonding, Secondary bonding processes Hand Layup/Vacuum bagging Auxiliary materials – Release film, Bagging film, Breather, Sealant tape Autoclave/Oven/Press curing Demoulding/Machining Automated Layup process – ATL/AFP Testing of thermoset Composite materials according to standards, e.g.: ASTM/EN Physical properties – Areal weight, Cured ply thickness, resin content, volatile content Chemical properties – DSC, Gel time, Viscosity, HPLC, FTIR Mechanical properties – DMA - Tg, Tensile, ILSS, IPS, Compression, Flatwise tensile, Peel strength, G1C Knowledge on New product development (NPD) process for aerospace parts FPQ/FAI – First Part Qualification, First Article Inspection Requirements for AS/EN9100 quality standard & related documentation   Who We Are Looking For You have a Bachelors or Master degree or PhD in Polymer Technology or Material Engineering or equivalent With 1-3 Years’ of relevant experience Good professional experiences in the area of polymers and its application as Composites and surface pre-treatment technology and associated characterization techniques Proficiency in python, google appscript, etc (any one programming language) Hands-on exploratory data analysis Knowledge of ML algorithms such as regression, decision trees, random forest, etc. Automation & Digitalization experience Excellent communication.
