Summary CT Tech-PRN First Shift Baptist Health Somerset, KY Baptist Health Imaging services include Inpatients, emergency patients, as well as Outpatients. The procedures and imaging provided are as follows but are not limited to: Diagnostic Procedures: Hysterosalpingogram, Nephrostogram, Arthrograms, Sinograms, Pyelograms, Cystograms, Barium Studies, Portable X-Ray and Fluoroscopy, and all Routine Radiographic Exams. Provides health care services applying pulsed x-ray energy to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs CT procedures, computer processing and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of a licensed independent practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of service and maintains a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics. Recognizes various patient conditions in order to provide appropriate patient care to ensure successful completion of the exam or procedure. Job Description: CT Tech-PRN Perform high-quality CT imaging procedures for accurate interpretation by the Radiologist. Verify patient identification, orders, and medical history to ensure proper exam preparation. Administer contrast materials safely and document procedures, reactions, and medications accurately. Monitor patients throughout exams, ensuring safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation protection standards (ALARA). Perform daily equipment warm-up, quality control (QC) checks, and report malfunctions or safety concerns promptly. Accurately archive and verify images in PACS; notify administrators of any imaging or transmission issues. Collaborate with Radiologists and the CT Coordinator to maintain imaging protocols and support ACR accreditation requirements. Assist in developing and adjusting exam protocols for adult and pediatric patients in accordance with regulatory and safety guidelines. Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies and linens, ensuring readiness of the CT suite. Provide guidance and training to new staff and imaging students during clinical rotations. Adhere to all hospital policies, safety procedures, and infection control standards. Participate in required training programs, emergency preparedness, and quality improvement initiatives. Requirements Associate degree Current American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Registry in Radiography RT(R) Current Commonwealth of Kentucky Radiation License with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
