Summary Job Description: Seeking Unit Secretary! Baptist Health Floyd, Progressive Care Unit Part-time (24 hours weekly), Days (8:30am-9pm) Job Duties: The Unit Secretary functions as an on-shift team member under the direction of the nurse by providing clinical support. This position performs routine non-patient care tasks including patient transportation, requisition, stocking and organization of unit supplies and maintenance tasks as designated. About the Unit: The Progressive Care Unit, also known as PCU, is a 32-bed intermediate level of care unit between the Inpatient Units and the Critical Care units. While the unit specializes in cardiovascular care nurses will encounter a variety of diagnoses, such as CHF, dysrhythmias, DKA, respiratory issues, sepsis, etc. While working closely with an interdisciplinary team, nurses provide excellent care for a high acuity-based population.  PCU is a great place for nurses to cultivate and expand their assessment skills while managing several drips and other specialized procedures. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Typing, office equipment, and computer skills required.
