Job Details: Job Description For this B-Shift position the days/hours are as follows:  Sunday thru Tuesday 7 pm to 7 am and Wednesday 7 pm to 1 am Thursday Starting Pay $20.35/hr plus a $2.00 shift premium Functions Ÿ  To maintain and promote the Tyson safety culture Ÿ  Receive training as required Ÿ  Perform various positions as required/assigned Description This position is responsible for monitoring production throughout the processing phase and providing training for all new and existing team members while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.  Tasks Applicants will be considered for any production lead opening.  These openings require standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, shoveling, climbing stairs and ladders up to 60 feet, bending, stretching, reaching,  working in extreme hot, cold, inclement weather, and odors.  Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical and maintenance functions.  Maintain clean work area by use of soap and high pressure hose.  Must be able to read and complete required logs.   Must be able to communicate with supervisor and co-workers via two-way radio.  May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.  May be required to operate frontend loader, manlift, or forklift and will be required to obtain certification to do so.  This position requires documented work experience in multiple areas of a rendering facility.  If an applicant meets the minimum requirements for consideration, they may be contacted for an interview. Rehire criteria is a minimum waiting period of 180 days. Rehire Rule of no more than  3 times worked at Tyson Foods. Must have a minimum of 6 months' work history with one employer within the past 12 months. Preferred 6 months manufacturing or production lead experience in the last 2 years. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions; risk of electrical shock; and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud .
