Summary Job Description: Surgery Administrative Assistant Full Time, First Shift – M-F 8:30am-5pm Coordinates the daily operational details for surgical services and performs a wide variety of standard secretarial functions as well as meeting the needs of staff. Job Duties: Post daily surgical charges, ensuring completeness of staffing, documentation, and implant details. Prepares and manages all office equipment and maintains adequate stock of surgical department supplies. Coordinates correspondence between physicians, perfusion, anesthesia and surgical staff. Manage high-volume incoming calls and schedule add-on surgical cases. Provide copy support for Nurse Manager and Director; distribute staff schedules for OR Manager. Prepare and distribute daily staffing and call sheets and deliver weekend call sheets to House Supervisor every Friday. Requirements: High School Diploma/GED One year of job-related experience Preferred Requirements: Secretarial and medical terminology knowledge preferred.
