Job Description: Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for Propulsion Control System Designer for Research and Technology (f/m) to join our System & Control Laws Team based in Toulouse, France. The Propulsion Control System (PCS) is a complex and critical system for the aircraft. It is composed of several electronic computers (such as FADEC) in charge of controlling and monitoring engines, Thrust reverser and interfaces with several other aircraft systems. Our team is responsible for integrating the Propulsion Control System to the aircraft. Our mission is to develop the functions that will ensure a safe and efficient integration between the aircraft systems, the pilot and the propulsion systems according to the needs of each of them. We actively contribute to the support of our in-service aircraft to the incremental development of our product family. Your challenges :  Inside a team managed by your workpackage leader and in collaboration with an important diversity of actors your main tasks and accountabilities will include: Contribute to PCS architecture, by defining interfaces between PCS and other systems, under the supervision of the Work Package leader Participating in the design of the engine controller interfaces and functions modifications in collaboration with the Engine Manufacturer and in particular modelling these functions in order to validate the requirements. Contribution to the evolutions of other Aircraft systems interfaced with PCS, Ensuring full Validation & Verification cycle, specifying the PCS system verification (for test benches and flight tests) and analyzing the test outcomes. This position will allow you to expand your scope of competencies and develop the following skills: Overall propulsion knowledge Electrical components, Aircraft System architecture and functions, System design and V&V, Capability to influence and negotiate, Stakeholder management. Your boarding pass :  Educated to a 5 years' degree level (or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline, Internship or project  in System Development and/or software development and/or Embedded computer development Would be a plus :  Technical knowledge of aeronautical propulsion (turbofan or turboprop)   Technical knowledge of electrical component   knowledge of system engineering   experience in simulation (simulink or equivalent software) Language skills: Negotiation level of English Soft skills :   You are driven by a collaborative and Team work approach   You are keen to a daily learning process   You are flexible enough to adapt to a context that continuously evolves   You are willing to work in a deeply integrated international context which requires to interact with people from all over the World but also to comply with strict communication rules.
