Summary 2 X 12/hr weekly 1st Shift 7A-7P Job Description: Job Summary The ED Tech assists the nursing and medical staff by performing selected procedures and emergent duties in the care of Emergency Department patients.  They also perform duties as Unit Secretary, thus having both a clinical and clerical aspect to their role.  All functions must be within the scope of training and instruction received and is under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. Principal Duties and Responsibilities This role is well‑suited for experienced Emergency Department Technicians who can support both clinical and clerical functions within a fast‑paced environment. The following summarizes the primary responsibilities of the position; additional duties may be assigned as needed. 1. Performs desk duties in a clerical role with high levels of accuracy 2. Provides care appropriate to the emergency population and maintains the environment of care 3.
