As part of the Airbus family, we play a key role in delivering safe,   reliable   and high-quality aerospace products.      The Opportunity :   Accountable for the Quality Engineering activities within the respective project and working in   support of the operational requirements, ensuring that quality is   maintained   by adherence to   customer and regulatory authority requirements.   Assist   in the control of manufacturing processes   and the application of problem solving and improvement tools.     To   provide assistance   in the development and deployment of the Quality Policy and Strategy,   provide support for the key project quality activities and ensure that project quality issues are   effectively reported and managed.     How you will contribute to the team :   You will   s upport the delivery of a robust Corrective and Preventive Action process which   establishes   clear Root Cause and   identifies   effective solutions for Internal, Customer and   Supplier Product Quality non-conformances.   You   will   support   production activities, ensuring all Quality Engineering processes are   effectively   deployed in line with the customer and regulatory authority requirements, such as EASA   Part 21G and AS9100 Rev D.   You will   ensure   appropriate inspection   planning, Last Article Inspection (LAI) and Firs t   Article   Inspection/Verification (FAI/FAV) and delegated source inspection programmes are   generated and   maintained   by the project.   You will   Support Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans, Statistical   Process Control (SPC) as part of overarching Advanced Product Quality Planning   (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) for key products .   You will   m anage the Material Review Board (MRB) process and ensure that all items are   appropriately dispositioned and robust corrective action is   established   and effectively   discharged.       About you :   Qualified to minimum HNC level or equivalent in a related discipline.   Experience   preferably in Aerospace or equivalent manufacturing   industry.   Understanding and use of standard Quality Tools and Techniques.   Knowledge of AS9100 Rev D as well as regulatory authority approval and certification   requirements.   Knowledge of engineering systems including awareness of drawings and systems as   applied within our major customers such as Boeing and Airbus would be an advantage.   A good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages – Outlook, Word, PowerPoint,   Excel   and Access.     Why Prestwick Aerosystems?     At our Prestwick facility,   you’ll   find a friendly, forward-thinking workplace with excellent rewards and opportunities to grow your career.     What we will offer you:     37-hour week (half-day Friday)   Defined contribution pension (4% employee / 8% employer)   Shift premiums up to 33% (where applicable)   Life assurance (4x basic salary)   Overtime paid at time and a half   33 days   annual leave (rising with service)   Annual bonus linked to company performance   Virtual GP service, Employee Assistance Program, and wellbeing support   Professional development and training opportunities   Free   on-site   car   parking         What Happens Next :     If   you’re   ready to build a career that takes you further, apply today.     Successful applicants will be asked to complete:     Right to Work check   Employment reference checks   Disclosure Scotland   Pre-employment Medical (Drug and Alcohol testing)     Prestwick Aerosystems is an equal opportunity employer.
