We're looking for a talented individual to join the Northern European accounting team as an Accountant. The team is divided between Amstelveen and Stockholm. The role is based on in our Amstelveen office, Stadshart Amstelveen. The accounting team is a diverse team of 5 colleagues working on our Dutch assets and corporate entities. What you will be doing…    Asset accounting for two shopping centres;  Fixed assets management Maintain and update the fixed asset register (acquisitions, disposals and transfers); Accurate capitalisation of assets in accordance with group accounting manual and accounting standards (IFRS en Dutch GAAP) Capital Expenditure Monitoring Monitor and report on capital projects and spending Verify proper classification of capital versus expense items Supporting audit of accounts for group purposes;  Contact person for the consolidation team during closings; Participation in projects for Record-to-Report process (implementation of SAP4/HANA);  Identify opportunities to streamline asset accounting process; Assist on implementing best practices and automation where possible Active involvement in changing and harmonization of accounting processes between countries.  Work closely with procurement, finance and operations to ensure accurate asset tracking. Provide guidance on asset-accounting queries Collaboration with tax department on VAT returns. Prepare accurate periodic VAT returns in compliance with local tax regulations Ensure compliance with IFRS and Dutch GAAP.      What skills, experience, and knowledge will you need to be successful?    You must be fluent in Dutch & English,   You hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance;  Knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS and Dutch GAAP);  You have working experience (knowledge) of SAP and Excel;  You have analytical skills and experience in projects;  Experience in Real Estate is a plus.   Who are we?    At   Unibail -Rodamco-Westfield (URW), we develop and   operate   a portfolio of sustainable, premium, mixed-use real estate assets across Europe and the United States.
