Job Description: Product Development Specialist Job Summary : The person hired for the position will contribute and focus on 3M China electronics lab new products development to provide 3M high value added and differentiated solutions to key customers in electrically or thermally conductive materials related area. Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Leading new products development and/or introduce new technologies to the electronics market segment. Prototyping and making unique products with strong value proposition using 3M technology, customer and market understanding, competitive product knowledge. Creating intellectual property and strategy to establish a sustainable competitive advantage. Working with Global teams for knowledge and technology sharing, developing strong working partnerships/networks inside the 3M electronics lab organization (China & Global), 3M Corporate Labs and other external groups Supporting Manufacturing programs having major impact to the COGS initiative. Basic Qualifications: Master’s degree or higher from an accredited university in Chemistry or Polymer Engineering Minimum 3yrs of polymer processing and formulating experiences Rich experience in new product development and innovation Good communication skills, good global teamwork Preferred Qualifications: Experience on tape products, Pressure Sensitive Adhesives, thermal setting films, liquid adhesives formulation development Experience on EMI/EMC products development (electrically or magnetically conductive materials) or thermally conductive materials development.
