Job Description: 3M is looking for an Application Engineer (AE) to join the Personal Safety Division (PSD) to help grow the Norwegian PSD business and strengthen the Northern Europe AE team through product/market support, expertise delivery, new product introduction and thought leadership activities. PSD Application Engineers serve as trusted experts for customers and internal teams on worker health, safety, and appropriate PPE solutions. The successful candidate will join a team of eight Northern European Application Engineers. Principle support will be provided by the successful AE to the Norwegian PSD business, however wider support across the Nordic region will also be required. Here, you will make an impact by: Identifying new opportunities and completing high impact technical programs with customers Delivering customer / market focused technical training and knowledge transfer both in person and via inspirational e-Media resources Interpreting industry standards & regulations to provide expertise to both 3M and customers Technical lead for new product commercialization activities and helping to build competitive value propositions for effective new product introductions Through field trials and voice of customer interviews, harnessing insights to maintain a flow of major technical contributions supporting product development teams and drive our innovation engine Leveraging your knowledge to position 3M as the thought leader within the PPE and drive conversations with 3rd parties, shape regulations and define industrial standards towards safer workplaces and healthier work conditions for workers Your Skills and Expertise  To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who meet following minimum requirements: Familiar with general health and safety regulations and the willingness to elevate that knowledge Engineer, Science degree or relevant industry experience Customer-oriented with strong interpersonal and listening skills Proven experience in technical training and knowledge transfer Able to communicate and network at all levels both inside and outside of 3M Strong teamwork skills with demonstrated success in collaborative environments Demonstrated project leadership skills Fluent in English Additional knowledge / nice-to-have skills / preferred qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Ideally with Occupational Health & Safety knowledge or safety engineering background Experience with CRM software, ideally Salesforce.com Ideally with additional languages (Swedish, Danish, Finnish), but not essential Experience of Fall Protection Solutions / have had experience of working at height would be preferable, but not essential Job specifics: This position is based in Norway with scope to also travel to other Nordic countries in wider support of Northern Europe PSD as priorities dictate Regular travel across Norway is required (to visit customers, distribution partners, industry bodies) Depending on business priorities the role may include up to 60% domestic travel (with overnight stays) and up to 10% wider Nordic Travel Full time Does this opportunity and our innovative 3M culture align with your career aspirations?   If so, we encourage you to apply and embark on a journey of creativity and growth with us.
