Reporting directly to the CEO and Chief Human Resources Officer for Asia, this pivotal role will see you at the heart of shaping and implementing HR strategy, policies, and people plans that align with both global standards and local requirements. As the primary HR leader for the Securities entity, you will ensure all HR activities are compliant, effective, and supportive of a high performing, engaged workforce. This is an exceptional opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, influence business outcomes, and embed a culture of inclusion, wellbeing, and continuous improvement. The organisation offers a flexible working environment, exposure to regional and global projects, and the chance to make a significant impact on talent management and organisational success. Play a central role in aligning HR strategy with business objectives across multiple Asian markets while ensuring compliance with local labour laws and regulatory frameworks. Collaborate with executive leadership to drive talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives that foster an inclusive and high-performing culture. Enjoy flexible working opportunities within a globally connected team that values diversity, professional growth, and employee wellbeing. What you'll do: As the Human Resources Business Partner Lead based in Singapore/ Hong Kong, you will be instrumental in delivering comprehensive HR support across four major Asian locations. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve partnering closely with executive leadership teams to provide strategic advice on people issues while driving alignment between global HR delivery models and local market needs. You will play a vital role in shaping talent strategies—identifying high-potential employees, facilitating succession planning for key roles including the CEO’s direct reports, and executing impactful development programmes. Your expertise will be essential in managing risk culture measures; overseeing regulatory compliance; coordinating certifications; handling sensitive employee relations cases; embedding diversity, equity & inclusion into every aspect of the business; and enhancing overall employee experience through wellbeing initiatives. Success in this position requires you to build strong relationships across functions—Legal, Finance, Compliance—and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends so that you can continuously improve local HR processes while safeguarding organisational integrity. Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and regional leadership team by providing expert guidance on complex people matters, coaching leaders through change initiatives, and supporting critical talent processes. Lead regional business function change initiatives in collaboration with Regional HR Business Partner Leads, Centres of Excellence (CoEs), and other stakeholders to ensure seamless implementation of strategic priorities. Represent Human Resources on internal and external boards or committees by preparing statutory submissions, reports, governance materials, and regulatory attestations to support robust compliance. Monitor people-related risk indicators such as mandatory training compliance and regulated roles’ fitness while ensuring accurate data reporting and clear recommendations for action. Coordinate annual certifications, license renewals, statutory audit responses, and liaise with regulators to ensure timely closure of actions or findings related to HR operations. Drive the formation of people and talent strategies by collaborating regionally with HR colleagues to shape projects linked to talent acquisition, development initiatives, succession planning, and cyclical or ad-hoc activities. Build deep understanding of high-potential individuals within client groups by leading 'know your talent' activities and proactively engaging with leadership teams to develop robust talent pools. Support performance management processes by guiding leaders through annual goal setting, mid-year reviews, year-end evaluations, and ensuring fair reward outcomes aligned with global strategies. Collaborate closely with Employee Relations teams to manage complex cases such as disciplinary matters or grievances while ensuring all actions comply with local legislation and internal fairness standards. Partner with Diversity & Inclusion leads to embed inclusive practices into decision-making processes while driving regional objectives for recruiting, developing, and retaining diverse talent. What you bring: To excel as a Human Resources Business Partner Lead in this influential role based in Singapore/ Hong Kong, your background should reflect substantial experience operating at both global and regional levels within complex matrixed organisations. Your proven ability to collaborate effectively across cultures will enable you to address stakeholder needs sensitively while prioritising shared objectives. You bring not only technical expertise in generalist HR practices but also advanced analytical skills for interpreting data that informs strategic decisions. Your approach is marked by empathy—balancing regulatory compliance with genuine care for employee wellbeing—and your communication style fosters trust at every level from boardroom presentations down to one-on-one coaching sessions. With a history of successfully managing budgets/resources alongside deep knowledge of employment law/regulations across multiple jurisdictions, you are adept at identifying process improvements that enhance both compliance standards and employee experience. Your flexibility allows you to adapt quickly when priorities shift; your attention to detail ensures accuracy even under pressure; your resourcefulness means you always find ways forward—even amidst ambiguity—while your inclusive leadership style inspires those around you. Extensive experience in an HR business partner or similar role at a global or regional level within matrixed environments where collaboration is key. Demonstrated ability to lead employee relations matters including complex case management such as disciplinary issues or grievances while maintaining confidentiality. Proven track record of developing strategic HR initiatives that have contributed significantly to achieving business objectives and enhancing organisational performance. Experience partnering with senior leaders to influence outcomes collaboratively while balancing competing priorities in fast-paced settings. Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective cross-cultural communication within global teams as well as building consensus among diverse stakeholders. Deep understanding of generalist HR practices including large-scale cyclical talent management activities such as performance reviews or compensation planning. Exceptional discretion when handling highly confidential information about peers or colleagues coupled with tactful communication abilities. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook) for data analysis and presentation purposes relevant to HR strategy formulation.
